Tom Taylor and Jerry Goldstein request that you consider a generous donation to the Gilbert Baker Fund of the non-profit Diversity Foundation of San Francisco.
The Diversity Foundation of San Francisco is self sustaining and there is no overhead, office staff, or promotional efforts funded by the Foundation. Tom Taylor and Jerry Goldstein fund all operating expenses of the Foundation.
Immediate projects include a grand farewell to Gilbert Baker at the Castro Theater in San Francisco and/or a block party on Castro Street.
Gilbert’s San Francisco airport Rainbow Flag art project will also become a reality.
In addition an additional stripe to the flag indicating Diversity is in the works and one of the founding principles of the Diversity Foundation.
Publication of Gilbert’s writings may be funded as well as a documentary of his life and life’s work.
A scholarship for young artists is a consideration as well.
Any and all suggestions are invited.
Finally, Gilbert Baker changed the world forever with his art, his unrelenting passion for the Rainbow Flag and all that it means to us, his determination to do the right thing as much as possible, his advocacy for just causes, and, most important, his love for all that were in his life.
Support the activities of the Diversity Foundation including the Gilbert Baker Fund, Rainbow Flag presence, the Christmas Tree, and research into sexual and population diversity worldwide.
The Diversity Foundation of San Francisco (tax exempt ID #45-3114274) promotes the better understanding of sexual diversity and works to change the social and cultural perceptions of sexual orientation as a “choice.”
